Trabzon Province (Turkish: Trabzon ili) is one of the provinces of Turkey, with its capital city being Trabzon. It has an area of 6,685 km2 and a population of 757,353. The population density is 110/km2. It is located in northern Turkey on the Black Sea coast. Regarding the climate, Trabzon Province is one of the wettest regions in Turkey, with peak rainfall occurring between October and May, where the average rainfall is 2500 mm per year. Snowfall is abundant in the province during the winter season, from December to March, and the period of snow accumulation is no less than 40 days.
